Mobile guru Amy Africa says that "diversions" in a mobile context is something that companies must understand as part of their mobile marketing strategy. Essentially savvy mobile marketers are setting up automated responses based on pre-specified conditions. It might mean, for example, showing mobile users specific pages based on what they're looking for, or where they were last on a site. Amy observes that companies who have had the best success in converting mobile users into leads and/or buyers have found that “working their diversions” is critical.
