Mountain View, Calif.—The Mobile Marketing Association, in conjunction with the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association, released best practices guidelines for mobile content and advertising. The guidelines were developed by a committee of wireless carriers, mobile content aggregators and content providers. They include best practices for mobile advertising, subscription services, opt-in and opt-out communications and a glossary of standard terms and abbreviations. The guidelines are designed to help marketers and content providers reach mobile users most effectively, as well as to give consumers privacy and control over content delivered to their mobile devices.
