Momentum names chairman-CEO of North American unit

New York--Momentum Worldwide, a global event marketing and promotion firm, announced Thursday that Mark Shapiro, 48, CEO of Louis London, has been named to the new post of chairman-CEO of Momentum North America, effective July 15. Momentum North America is being reorganized by product portfolio into four groups: packaged goods/automotive, technology, financial and retail. Louis London, a sales promotion company purchased by New York-based Momentum Worldwide in 1997, is being renamed Momentum-St. Louis. Mr. Shapiro will continue to be based in St. Louis. Momentum Worldwide is a subsidiary of McCann-Erickson Worldwide, the world's largest advertising agency network.
