Morrow begins term as ABM chairman

New York--William A. Morrow, exec VP-operations at Crain Communications (which publishes BtoB), Thursday officially began his one-year term as chairman of American Business Media.

Morrow succeeds James Watt, chairman-CEO of Watt Publishing Co. Watt remains on ABM’s executive committee, along with Hugh Roome, president of Scholastic International, who is vice chairman; James A. Casella, CEO of Reed Business Information, who is secretary; Michael Marchesano, president-CEO of VNU Business Media, who is treasurer; and Gordon Hughes, president-CEO of ABM.

Additionally, ABM announced that James J. Spanfeller, president-CEO of Forbes.com, and Kevin Hurley, exec VP of Elsevier Inc.’s Health Sciences Division, will join the association’s board of directors for this fiscal year.
