`BusinessWeek' makes several executive changes
McGraw-Hill Cos.' BusinessWeek announced last month that William P. Kupper Jr. has relinquished the title of publisher of the magazine to Geoffrey A. Dodge, who is now senior VP-publisher, North America. Dodge was most recently VP-U.S. sales director. Kupper remains president of BusinessWeek. Also, BusinessWeek announced that Paul Maraviglia moved from VP-international advertising director to VP-international publisher, and Peggy White moved from general manager of BusinessWeek Online to VP-BusinessWeek Online.
Zielasko named publisher of `Rubber & Plastics News'
Crain Communications' Rubber & Plastics News announced that David E. Zielasko has been named publisher. Zielasko succeeds Robert S. Simmons, who remains a VP at Crain and group publisher of the company's Akron- and London-based tire, rubber, polymer and waste publications. Zielasko retains his current titles of editor and VP-publisher of Tire Business, a sibling publication of RPN.
Jobson promotes Sherman to senior VP-business development
New York-based Jobson Education Group, a division of Jobson Publishing, announced that Lawrence Sherman has been promoted to senior VP-business development. In this role, Sherman will develop new relationships with health care clients and commercial supporters worldwide that fund educational initiatives. Additionally, Jobson Education Group announced that it has hired Lisa S. Cooke as director of business development.
Advanstar elevates D'Avino to GM of portfolio group
Advanstar Communications announced the promotion of Antony D'Avino to general manager of the company's portfolio group. Previously, D'Avino was group publisher of Landscape Management, Golfdom, Pest Control, GPS World and Geospatial Solutions magazines. He will continue to oversee these titles and adds Paperboard Packaging, Official Board Markets, Pit & Quarry, LP/Gas and Roofing/Siding/Insulation.
