Chris Poleway is out as president of Time Inc.'s Business and Finance Network and has been succeeded by Vivek Shah, according to an internal announcement distributed late last month by Time Exec VP John Squires. Shah was previously president of digital publishing for the network, where he oversaw all digital media for CNNMoney.com. The Business and Finance Network, which includes Business 2.0, CNNMoney.com, Fortune, Fortune Small Business and Money, was formed in April 2006.
BusinessWeek.com names executive editor/editor in chief
BusinessWeek has named Executive Editor John Byrne executive editor/editor in chief at BusinessWeek.com. In his new role, Byrne will be responsible for editorial operations of Business-Week.com as well as enhancing the integration between the print and online editorial staffs.
N.Y. Times Co. promotes Namini to senior VP-marketing and circ
The New York Times Co. announced that Yasmin Namini has been promoted from senior VP-circulation to the newly created position of senior VP-marketing and circulation for the New York Times Media Group. Namini will be responsible for marketing the Times' brand across print, Web and mobile platforms, as well as circulation and distribution of the print version of the Times, its electronic edition and TimesReader, a digitized version of the newspaper.
Hanley Wood picks Calore as `Builder,' `Big Builder' publisher
Hanley Wood has named Jeff Calore to the newly created position of publisher at Builder and Big Builder. Calore previously was general manager and VP-sales for 1105 Media's Government Information Group.

Ziff Davis Enterprise's Custom Events Group taps Laughlin
Kirk Laughlin has been named to the newly created role of senior editorial director of Ziff Davis Enterprise's Custom Events Group, which Laughlin joined three years ago as editorial director. In his new role, Laughlin will oversee editorial strategy for executive roundtables and Ziff Davis Enterprise-branded conferences, including the annual CIO Summit and Security Summit.
