MPA: 40% boost in brands advertising on magazine media platforms

New York—There was a 40% increase in the number of brands advertising on magazine media platforms (tablet, online and print) in the first half of this year compared with the same period in 2011, according to data released by MPA. Kantar Media research found that 14,949 brands advertised on magazine media in the first six months of this year, compared with 10,768 during the same period in 2011. The combined, unduplicated online and print audience for magazines grew 4% between 2011 and 2012, according to GfK MRI research from spring 2011 and 2012, and Nielsen data from July 2011 and 2012.
