MPA names Schwartz to advertising post

New York--The Magazine Publishers of America announced Tuesday that Harlan A. Schwarz has been named senior VP-advertising marketing. In this newly created position, Schwarz will develop strategies and programs to promote magazines as an effective advertising medium. Prior to joining MPA, he was president of Targeted Marketing/Media Consulting and senior VP-strategic print services for Universal McCann/ McCann-Erickson. He will report to Ellen Oppenheim, MPA’s exec VP-CMO.
