MSN to launch integrated ad campaign

Redmond, Wash.--Microsoft Corp. will roll out an integrated ad campaign Thursday to unveil the newest version of its MSN Internet service.

The campaign, an extension of MSN’s “It’s better with the butterfly” campaign, includes TV, print and online ads.

McCann-Erickson San Francisco, which created the original butterfly theme for MSN, brings the creature to life as a talking character in the new ads.

The offline campaign is supported by an online promotion developed by interactive agency Avenue A, an operating unit of aQuantive Inc. The budget was not disclosed.
