Mullen names business development exec

Wenham, Mass.--Mullen, a member of the Interpublic Group of Cos., named Melissa Lea as exec VP-director of business development. Lea, who will begin her new job Feb. 3, will oversee all new-business development for Mullen at its headquarters and at its offices in Winston Salem, N.C., Pittsburgh and Detroit. Lea recently served as director of business development for Arnold Worldwide, Boston, where she helped the agency gain such clients as Coors Brewing Co. and The Hartford. Mullen’s 2002 new-business wins included FosterGrant, the U.S. Department of Defense’s Joint Recruitment Advertising Program, Wachovia, Eddie Bauer and Progress Energy.
