The names are from NetCreations' partner network, which includes 101communications, CNET, TechTarget and ZDNet.
The database will have its own Web site--ITProsDirect.com--and the names will be selectable by such demographics as job title, number of employees and type of industry.
"IT has always been a mainstay for NetCreations," said Michael Mayor, president of NetCreations. "We're seeing a pickup in that market again."
The new database will allow marketers to reach various levels of IT professionals with targeted offers based on their interests, which they indicated during the opt-in process.
