NetProspex gains $5.5 million in new funding

Waltham, Mass.—Database list-building company NetProspex Inc. has secured $5.5 million in venture capital financing, led by information technology investment firm Edison Venture Fund.

NetProspex, which claims a database of more than 16 million business contacts, said it plans to enhance its enterprise service offerings, including its CleneStep process that verifies user-contributed information, and its SocialStep platform that analyzes the social media activity of customers and prospects.

NetProspex also plans to continue expansion of sales and marketing, and to develop and launch several new products within its services suite, according to the company. This second round of funding brings the company’s total investment to $7.5 million.
