NetRatings acquires majority stake in RedSheriff

New York--Internet research company NetRatings, Milpitas, Calif., announced it has acquired a majority interest in RedSheriff, which provides site-centric Internet audience measurement.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal extends Nielsen//NetRatings' services in the media and market research sector by providing census-level page-view and visitor counts based on measurement of all access locations and devices; Web analytics; and real-time data delivery options. Nielsen//NetRatings is a partnership of NetRatings and Nielsen Media Research.
