Newcombe named editor of 'Governing'

Sacramento, Calif.—E.Republic announced Monday that it has named Tod Newcombe editor of Governing, a magazine the company acquired from Times Publishing Co. earlier this month.

Newcombe, who had been editor of e.Republic's Public CIO since 2003, will also oversee the editorial operations of Governing.com. Steve Towns, editor of Government Technology, will serve as interim editor of Public CIO until a replacement is named.
