San Mateo, Calif.--Newmedia.com, which is a news and information site for Internet professionals, announced it has developed a new online advertising model. The site said Monday it will feature only rich-media advertising and sell these spots in time-based increments rather than on a cost-per-thousand basis. The ads are uninterrupted by page clicks or scrolls, so the reader sees a rich-media spot for its full 15 seconds, said Richard Landry, chairman-CEO of Hypermedia, which owns and operates newmedia.com.
