NFL, NASCAR score highest in sports advertising study

Menlo Park, Calif.--The National Football League and NASCAR ranked highest in delivering value to TV advertisers and sponsors, according to a new Knowledge Networks study of nine sports leagues. Research company Knowledge Networks used its Brand Relationship Tracker methodology to measure the tangible value that sports leagues deliver. The NFL ranked No. 1, followed closely by NASCAR. The NCAA, Olympics, National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball were tied for third.
