New York—Nielsen Holdings will acquire marketing research company Harris Interactive in a price-per-share deal worth about $117 million. "Harris Interactive's strength with other industry verticals allows us to serve these clients with Nielsen's differentiated solutions in areas such as marketing effectiveness, social and digital to achieve our growth objectives," said John J. Lewis, president-Americas at Nielsen, in a statement.  Earlier this year Nielsen finalized the acquisition of radio ratings service Arbitron Inc. for $1.26 billion, uniting Nielsen's TV, online video and social measurement capabilities with Arbitron's radio, streaming audio and out-of-home ratings services.
