Nielsen acquires IAG Research

New York—Nielsen Co. announced the acquisition of IAG Research, a privately held research company that measures user engagement with TV programs, commercials and product placements. IAG will be rebranded as Nielsen IAG.

Nielsen said the acquisition will expand its ability to provide more in-depth TV and Internet analytics services.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
