Nielsen Business Media to close real estate brands

New York—Nielsen Business Media, a unit of the Nielsen Co., confirmed Tuesday that it is shutting down its real estate brands, including Multi-Housing News and Commercial Property Executive.

A spokesman for the company said the job cuts would be “in the teens.” MHN will close with its November issue and Commercial Property Executive with its October issue.

Serving the battered real estate market and being advertising-based products put Nielsen’s real estate brands in the bull’s-eye of the downturn.
