New York—Nielsen Business Media on Thursday announced the creation of an Entertainment Group that combines the company’s entertainment brands across various media.

Previously, the company’s entertainment properties existed under two separate market groups: Film & Performing Arts and Music & Literary. The new unit integrates editorial across the entertainment properties and also offers advertisers in the film, TV, music, theater and literary industries integrated marketing packages.

Brands in the portfolio include Back Stage, Billboard, Film Journal International, Kirkus Reviews, The Hollywood Reporter and film industry events CineAsia Exposition, Cinema Expo International, ShowEast and ShoWest.

Media industry veteran Gerry Byrne, who has been an adviser to Nielsen Business Media since January 2007, has been named senior VP-Entertainment Group.

John Kilcullen, who has served as senior VP of the company’s Film & Performing Arts and Music & Literary groups since October 2006, is leaving the company, according to Nielsen.
