Nielsen Expositions renamed as Onex deal closes

Toronto—Nielsen Expositions has been renamed Emerald Expositions following the completion of its acquisition by Onex Corp. Onex last month agreed to acquire Nielsen Expositions from its parent, an affiliate of Nielsen Holdings, for $950 million in cash. Emerald Expositions, headquartered in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., produces more than 65 trade shows, conferences and events annually.
