Nielsen names Burbank CMO

New York—Nielsen Co. has named John Burbank to the newly created position of CMO. Burbank, who is currently CMO of AOL, will join Nielsen next week.

He will be responsible for Nielsen’s strategic marketing, business development, market insights, brand development and communications. Before joining AOL, Burbank was VP-marketing at AT&T.
