Nielsen reports online video viewing up 13.2% in December

New York—The average time spent viewing online video streams rose 13.2% in December, compared with December 2008, according to Nielsen Co.

Nielsen also reported that the number of unique viewers watching online video streams was up 10.3% last month compared with the year-earlier period.

The top 10 online video sites in December were YouTube, Hulu, Yahoo, Turner Sports and Entertainment Digital Network, MSN/WindowsLive/Bing, Fox Interactive Media, Megavideo, Blinkx, Nickelodeon Kids and Family Network, and ESPN Digital Network.
