NKH&W won't participate in Yellow Freight review

Published on .

West Hollywood, Calif.--NKH&W, Kansas City, Mo., the incumbent agency for the $12 million account of Yellow Freight System, Overland Park, Kan., will not participate in the shipping company's agency review, said Liz Mason, senior consultant at Select Resources International, which is handling the search. Select Resources also said that it expected to trim the list of agencies vying for the account to eight to 10 within the next three weeks. Yellow Freight's ad spending is expected to reach $15 million in the next two years as it gears up for increased competition in its traditional territory-shipments of more than 70 pounds-from Federal Express Corp. and United Parcel Service of America.
