Nokia launches mobile platforms to connect advertisers and publishers

Published on .

New York—Nokia, which markets mobile devices, Tuesday introduced two mobile advertising services designed to connect marketers with media companies.

Nokia Ad Service consists of a group of publishers that have formed a mobile ad network and a platform to deploy and manage mobile ad campaigns.

Nokia also introduced Nokia Advertising Connector, a private-label service for third-party publishers and advertising aggregators that want to extend to mobile advertising.

The service operates as an “intelligent switch,” selecting among text, visual, audio and video ads—depending on the user’s preference—and feeding the ad to the mobile device.
