Nokia names DeVard as CMO

Espoo, Finland—Nokia has appointed Jerri DeVard as exec VP-CMO. DeVard, who brings 25 years of marketing experience to the newly created position, previously worked with such brands as Citigroup, Pillsbury and Verizon. Most recently she was principal at New York-based DeVard Marketing Group.

DeVard will be in charge of Nokia’s newly formed Marketing and Communications organization, which combines all of the company’s marketing, brand management and communications operations.

"With Jerri at the helm, we expect the integrated marketing and communications activities to increase the impact of our communications and engagement with consumers and other stakeholders across the industry and across the globe,” Niklas Savander, exec VP and head of Nokia’s Markets unit, said in a statement.
