Nortel signs Broadbase deal

Published on .

Boston--Nortel Networks said Monday that it has signed a deal with Broadbase Software, Boston, to integrate Nortel's content management software with Broadbase's marketing and analysis software. The move advances Brampton, Ontario-based Nortel's bid to become an end-to-end provider of network services, networking equipment and customer relationship management. For Broadbase, the alliance is a major boost because it gains the marketing and sales support of Nortel, which has annual revenues of more than $22 billion. The first in a series of products to come from the alliance, software called Performance Reporting, is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter.
