New York—The New York Times will offer free access to content on its Web site and its Apple iOS mobile apps to mark the launch Tuesday of the International New York Times, previously called the International Herald Tribune. The open access, available from 5 p.m. Eastern Time today through the same time on Oct. 19, is sponsored by Citigroup Inc. After the open-access period expires, nonsubscribers will be limited to a combined total of 10 articles each month on NYTimes.com and/or the international version, INYT.com, and three articles per day on iOS apps before a subscription is required.
