NYTimes.com enhances technology section

New York—NYTimes.com on Thursday launched an expanded and enhanced version of its technology section (www.nytimes.com/technology), featuring a new look, more tech news updates throughout the day and aggregation from other news sources.

New content providers to the section, IDG Media Brands and paidContent.org, will contribute their reporting to the Times’ coverage of breaking news. Content feeds are provided by BlogRunner, a feed aggregator owned by Times Co. Content from IDG Media Brands includes a link to IDG’s corporate Web site and will soon include links to five separate IDG brands: Computerworld, CIO, InfoWorld, NetworkWorld and the Industry Standard, which is currently a placeholder and will go live in December.
