NYTimes.com introduces beta620 site

Published on .

New York—NYTimes.com has launched beta620, a new interactive website showcasing the publisher's experimental and developmental projects. Among the projects currently on beta620 are Community Hub, a dashboard of social activity on NYTimes.Com; and the What's Going On Tab, which updates visitors on the latest posts to the site. Registered NYTimes.com users can comment on the ideas in development. “With beta620, we are challenging our talented staff and our community of users to publicly test out new ideas and concepts that can create a better online experience,” Marc Frons, chief technology officer of The New York Times, said in a statement. The site can be accessed at http://beta620.nytimes.com.
