O’Malley, Yorke promoted at IDG

Framingham, Mass.—IDG Communications announced that John O’Malley, president of Worldwide IDG Global Solutions (IGS), and Matthew Yorke, senior VP-corporate sales U.S., have been given expanded responsibilities for IDG’s media and event brands.

Effective immediately, O’Malley adds the role of CEO of IDG Connect and IDG List Services to his current responsibilities. Yorke, who has been named senior VP-sales and marketing for IDG Communications U.S., adds responsibilities for marketing, IDG Research Services and communications to his corporate sales position.

O’Malley joined IGS in Europe in 1999 as director of strategy and business development, was promoted to president of IGS EMEA in 2000 and added management of U.S. and Asia-Pacific IGS in 2002.

Yorke, who also joined IGS in 1999, became senior VP-corporate sales for the company’s largest customers in the U.S. last year.
