Oberlander joins JWT as exec creative director

New York—Advertising agency JWT, New York, has hired Bill Oberlander as executive creative director, overseeing the agency’s Microsoft commercial business.

Most recently Oberlander served as chief creative officer and exec VP of Cossette, New York, working on such accounts as Cannondale Bikes, Carlsberg beer and Estée Lauder.

Prior to assuming the lead creative role at Cossette, Oberlander was executive creative director at McCann Erickson. He currently teaches advertising at the School of Visual Arts New York, and serves on the Ad Council Creative Review Committee, where he reviews and directs pro-bono campaigns.
