Office Depot announces official small business of NASCAR winner

Published on .

Delray Beach—Office Depot has named K&M Storage of Dodge City, Kan., the “Official Small Business of NASCAR, Courtesy of Office Depot.”

Small businesses, which Office Depot defines as those having fewer than 100 employees, were given a chance to enter a contest between February and April to be named the official small business of NASCAR.

As part of its prize, K&M Storage will help unveil the No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion race car at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on May 27. The company will also receive a $10,000 small-business makeover from Office Depot, a year’s worth of business cards, letterhead and envelopes, and consulting services from a small-business expert.

“More than 6 million small-business owners call themselves NASCAR fans, and they are truly passionate about their business and our sport,” said Jim O’Connell, VP-corporate marketing at NASCAR. “Office Depot’s connection to this audience with this unique promotion has proven to be a model for companies looking to reach their core customers through NASCAR.”
