Office Depot Business Services revenue, profit increase

Published on .

Delray Beach, Fla.—Office Depot on Thursday reported revenue of $3.4 billion for its fiscal second quarter, up 6% over its fiscal second quarter in 2004. Net earnings increased 26% to $100 million in the second quarter, compared with the same period last year.

Office Depot’s North American Business Services revenue in particular increased 7.1% to $1.1 billion. That growth was attributed to increased sales in the Contract channel, particularly in large customer and national accounts, according to the office supplier. Operating profit for the division was $115.7 million, a 2% increase compared with the same period last year.
