OMD wins Visa media account

New York—Visa Inc. has selected Omnicom Group’s OMD as its global media agency of record, following a review.

“Over the past several months, Visa Inc. has conducted an evaluation of our global media agencies in order to more effectively manage advertising spend globally and to simplify agency relationships,” Visa said in a statement. “We have concluded our analysis and have chosen OMD to be our media agency of record going forward.”

OMD was the incumbent on the account, estimated at more than $400 million. Other agencies participating in the review included Carat, Mediaedge:cia and Starcom MediaVest Group.
