Online marketing managers lead in annual salary

Port Washington, N.Y.—VPs of online marketing are the most highly compensated marketing executives, according to a new report from direct marketing executive search company Crandall Associates. According to Crandall's “National Salary Guide: Direct and Interactive Marketing” for 2012, VPs of online marketing have an average salary range of $169,500 to $198,500 with seven or more years of experience, higher than the salaries of VPs of database marketing ($154,000 to $184,600), VPs of marketing management ($146,800 to $175,700) and directors of marketing analytics ($119,400 to $131,500). Crandall based its study on interviews during the fourth quarter of 2011 with employers and candidates for these and other marketing positions.
