Online Marketing Summit kicks off

San Diego—The inaugural Online Marketing Summit, hosted by the Business Marketing Association and BusinessOnLine, opened in San Diego Thursday to provide hands-on strategies and best practices for online marketers.

More than 300 marketers attended the “vendor-free” conference.

Companies including IBM Corp. and Cisco Systems presented case studies on effective online strategies, while experts such as Dana Todd, president of the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization, and Jim Sterne, founding president of the Web Analytics Association, provided research and best practices for online marketing.

“The future is all about the user,” said Aaron Kahlow, managing partner of BusinessOnLine and conference chairman.
