Burlington, Mass.--Andrew Payne, one of the founders of e-commerce server software vendor Open Market, announced Tuesday the launch of Revenio--a company that provides marketing services on the Internet. Backed with $16 million in venture funding, Revenio, Burlington, Mass., is the latest entry in the so-called Application Service Provider (ASP) market, which allows corporate business managers to establish Web business services without involving their corporate information technology support. Revenio, which plans to release its products and announce beta customers by July, specializes in marketing that automates interactions through an on-going dialogue with customers. Payne, who will be Revenio's CEO, was VP-technology at Open Market.
