Opera Software acquires Skyfire Labs

Mountain View, Calif.—Opera Software, which provides Web browsing and other Internet software, announced the acquisition of mobile software company Skyfire Labs in a deal estimated at $155 million. Under the acquisition, Skyfire Labs will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Opera Software and will continue to operate under the Skyfire brand. Skyfire makes products including Rocket Optimizer software for mobile operators, and Skyfire Horizon mobile browser extension platform.
