Oracle announces partnerships with HP, IBM

San Francisco—Oracle announced Tuesday that it has partnered with Hewlett-Packard Co. on an initiative called “Optimize for Agility,” which is designed to help companies lower IT costs and improve service. The initiative is based on an engineering, services and marketing agreement between the companies, which includes the integration of Oracle’s grid platform and enterprise manager with HP’s OpenView management solutions. Separately, Oracle announced it has teamed with IBM to launch a single-server solution for its JD Edwards enterprise CRM platform.
