Oracle in Asian b-to-b conference marketing blitz

Published on .

Redwood Shores, Calif.--In a bid to boost its b-to-b business globally to offset the U.S. economic downturn, Oracle Corp. is rolling out a series of conferences across Asia. The company is holding a conference for Internet developers, system architects and database administrators this week in Tokyo, and will hold similar events in the coming weeks in Seoul, Shanghai and Singapore. The Asian conferences, part of Oracle's iDevelop2001 Live worldwide conference series, follow events in Berlin and Mexico City. Oracle's move comes soon after competitors IBM Corp. and BroadVision Inc. entered a broad Japanese b-to-b reselling deal. http://www.oracle.com
