Redwood Shores, Calif.--Oracle Corp. and BT Ignite Content Hosting, a unit of British Telecom plc, have entered an expansive European b-to-b marketing deal. London-based BT Ignite will market Oracle's e-business software, mostly through its Internet Data Centers. Oracle's software, meanwhile, will be co-marketed with BT Ignite's hosting software. The hosted software market in Europe is expected to expand from $266 million in 2001 to $4.9 billion by 2005, according to Datamonitor plc.
