Oracle to buy social monitoring company Collective Intellect

Redwood City, Calif.—Database management technology company Oracle Corp. continues to augment its social marketing capabilities, acquiring Denver-based Collective Intellect, a social media monitoring and data analytics company. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Two weeks ago, Oracle acquired Vitrue Inc., whose technology enables the publishing and management of content pushed to a variety of social sites, for a reported $300 million.
