Oracle claims piece of Covisint deal, too

Published on .

Redwood Shores-Commerce One Inc. on Tuesday trumpeted its deal with auto e-marketplace Covisint L.L.C. Not to be left out, Oracle Corp., the other vendor on the project, on Wednesday detailed its role in the project. Oracle said Covisint will license more than 55 different Oracle products for use on the exchange, including its E-Business Suite, which includes platforms for managing financials, human resources, procurement and sales; its Exchange Marketplace platform; and its database and application servers. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but in addition to license fees Oracle gets a small equity stake in Covisint.
