Redwood Shores, Calif.--Oracle Corp. is in the midst of a marketing blitz that positions it as a customer relationship management services company. The enterprise software developer is expected to roll out as early as this week Oracle Quality Online, a service that allows factory managers and fulfillment houses to access in real-time warranty return information, product defect cycles and other production processes that are useful in sales presentations and negotiations. Oracle is increasingly evolving into a services company. It said that in first 12 months of CRM Online Services, 15,000 companies representing 43 industries signed up to use its sales and support services. Those companies include: DeLorme Publishing, AMS, Koryak Consulting, PriceWaterhouseCoopers Global, Promatis AG, Texaco and UMM Electronics.
