Oracle, Wells Fargo in b-to-b e-finance deal

Redwood Shores, Calif.-Oracle Corp. and Wells Fargo & Co. have entered an expansive e-finance pact. Among the deal's centerpieces: Oracle's B2B Exchange software will be integrated with Wells Fargo's financial services for e-marketplaces. The deal is a boon in particular for Oracle, as Wells Fargo has in recent months pulled away as one of the top providers of b-to-b e-commerce services. San Francisco-based Wells Fargo recently became the first bank to launch a transaction b-to-b portal, and has launched an initiative to host build and host mid-size companies' sites. Citigroup Inc. and Commerce One Inc. one year ago signed a deal similar to the Oracle-Wells Fargo pact.
