Published on .

Fremont, Calif.--OSDN (Open Source Development Network), a network of news and information sites for IT managers, announced Wednesday that it has changed its name to OSTG (Open Source Technology Group).

OSTG is a wholly owned subsidiary of VA Software Corp.

The new name and tagline for the sites, “Where technology is going,” is intended to reflect the growing adoption of open source technologies. The company also has a new URL: www.ostg.com.

A key addition to the network is an IT-focused section, IT.Slashdot.org, on the community site Slashdot.

OSTG also said it has revamped its IT-focused sites Linux.com, NewsForge.com and ITManagersJournal.com.
