OSDN unveils self-serve ad system

Published on .

Acton, Mass.--The Open Source Development Network Inc. (OSDN) has launched the Self Serve Ad System for small and midsize businesses. The program allows businesses to create and place their own ad banners on OSDN sites such as Slashdot.com and SourceForge.net.

Pricing starts at $400 for a package of 100,000 impressions. A second package is available at $1,000 for 250,000 impressions. Banner sizes include a "half-banner" (234X60) and "small tile" (125x60).

If advertisers choose a half-banner, the ad will run alongside an OSDN house ad, so as not to compete with another advertiser.

Orders are placed and processed online through OSDN's e-commerce server.

OSDN, a subsidiary of VA Software Corp., is a news, collaboration and distribution community for IT and Open Source developers.
