Houston—The website of American Printer
still says “farewell,” but that good-bye is apparently premature. OutputLinks Communications Group has acquired the 128-year-old brand from Penton Media. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“When we heard it was going to shut down, our team felt this print industry icon deserved to live. So we bought it. And now we look forward to giving it new life and extending its services through our global platform,” Andy and Julie Plata, co-CEOs of OutputLinks, said in a statement.
OutputLinks, which produces online communities, publications and research serving vertical industries, has a number of divisions, including: GCWorldBiz, GreensheetBIZ, MPSConnect, OutputLinks, OutputLinks France, OutputLinks Italy and OutputLinks Latin America.
