Santa Clara, Calif.--Palm Inc. has launched a new corporate positioning campaign that could surpass $100 million in worldwide billings. The hand-held computer manufacturer is attempting to recast itself as a developer of computer operating system software, akin to Microsoft Corp. The move comes just as corporations are beginning to eye wireless hand-held devices as a way to communicate with field sales forces. The campaign includes print, outdoor and television. An online strategy will be implemented at the end of this year.
